After the earthquake, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology immediately launched the communication guarantee emergency plan, quickly dispatched the emergency communication support force, and sent personnel to Sichuan to provide field guidance and support. Organize the communications industry in Sichuan Province to overcome the influence of unfavorable factors such as road and city power interruption, and make every effort to do a good job in communication support for earthquake relief by dispatching emergency communication drones, airdrop portable base stations and power generators.

Data show that as of September 8, a total of 3629 emergency personnel, 1098 emergency vehicles, 1542 power generators and 289 satellite phones had been dispatched, and four large-scale high-altitude network-wide UAVs had been dispatched, effectively ensuring the smooth communication of earthquake relief command and public communication services.

In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will make every effort to ensure the stability of communications in the disaster areas, speed up the repair of damaged communication facilities, and step up efforts to restore communication services to pre-disaster levels.
