CTOnews.com, September 10 (Xinhua)-- according to a report in Taiwan's Economic Daily, the latest financial data of Yuantai, a major electronic paper manufacturer, showed that in August 2022, Yuantai's revenue was 2.767 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 623 million yuan), an increase of 15.8 percent from the previous month, an increase of 221 percent from a year earlier, a 10-year high.

CTOnews.com learned that in the first eight months of this year, revenue from the merger was NT $18.57 billion, up 68.4 per cent from a year earlier. Prior to this, Mrs Yuan said at the legal conference that the operation grew quarter by quarter in the second half of 2022, and the annual shipment was still better than that of last year.

In the face of recent market conditions, Yuantai said that demand is indeed relatively weak in the second half of the year. The impact of e-paper readers is limited at about 3%, while the impact of e-paper notebooks is about 10%.

When it comes to electronic shelf tags (ESL), Mrs Yuen pointed out that demand for ESL is still strong and may be related to investment in retail automation, eating up all the capacity released by eNote and eReader. The penetration rate of ESL in global retail stores has a chance to jump to 10% this year, up from 3% in the past.

Taiwan media pointed out that on the whole, Yuan Tai is optimistic about the operating outlook for this year, maintaining electronic paper in the second half of the year, growing quarter by quarter, and setting a new record for last year.
