The company wants to help customers reduce power consumption and e-waste, and to that end, Samsung has announced a 20-year warranty for home appliances and BESPOKE products.

Samsung announced on IFA 2022 that it would extend the warranty period of digital variable frequency motors and compressors used in washing machines and refrigerators to 20 years. This is the company's most comprehensive warranty for these parts to date, indicating that the company is confident in the reliability of its parts and is committed to reducing e-waste.

More precisely, the extended 20-year warranty applies only to parts, not to the entire product. Users can get a 5-year warranty for the whole product.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung also announced on IFA 2022 that its environmentally friendly appliances save 10 per cent more energy than the new European energy highest industry standard, thereby achieving the ultimate energy saving in homes.
