Bank of China certification shows that the Apple Watch Ultra battery capacity of Apple Watch is 76% larger than that of Series 8.

CTOnews.com, September 13 (Xinhua) according to the newly discovered specifications in the Chinese certification database, the battery capacity of Apple's Apple Watch Ultra is 76% larger than that of the 45mm Series 8.

Certification found by MySmartPrice indicates that the Apple Watch Ultra is equipped with 542mAh batteries. The 45mm Apple Watch Series 8 is equipped with a 308mAh battery, which increases the battery capacity of the Apple Watch Ultra by 76% compared to the previous largest Apple Watch.

The document also confirms that in addition to the Apple Watch Series 8 with the same CPU as the Series 6 and 7, the new Apple Watch also shares the same battery capacity. The battery capacity of the 41 mm Series 8 is 282mAh, while that of the Series 7 is 284mAh. The difference in battery size is small and is unlikely to attract attention. The 45mm Series 8 also shares the same battery capacity as the 45mm Series 7.

With the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple promises all-day battery life with the same model as the previous generation. Apple said that with Apple Watch Ultra, users can expect up to 36 hours of normal life and up to 60 hours of low-power mode, providing the longest battery life in the history of the Apple Watch.

CTOnews.com learned that low-power mode is suitable for all Apple Watch models supported by watchOS 9, which extends battery life by disabling background application refresh, AOD constant display, background oxygen measurement, and so on.
