According to reports, the vehicles recalled this time were produced from November 18, 2020 to July 21, 2021. The main reasons for the recall are: there may be damage to the copper wire protective layer of the motor stator of the air conditioning compressor in some vehicles, causing the copper wire to come into contact with the compressor lubricant and refrigerant. When there is too much moisture in the lubricant and refrigerant, the copper wire may be corroded, resulting in a decline in the insulation grade of the compressor. When the vehicle diagnosis software detects this situation, it will disconnect the main battery relay and cause the power system to shut down, resulting in the loss of power while the vehicle is driving, and there is a safety hidden danger.

CTOnews.com learned that Peugeot-Citroen will replace air-conditioning compressors for vehicles in the recall area free of charge and install new dehumidifier filter tanks to increase drying capacity, thereby eliminating safety risks.
