In August this year, construction of the Nanzi Industrial Park in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan began, and TSMC has signed a contract to set up a factory.
After the start of construction, the Nanzi Park will enter the actual development stage and is expected to operate in 2024. At the initial stage, it will add at least 1500 jobs and an annual output value of NT $157.6 billion. Kaohsiung will transform from heavy industry to a semiconductor high-tech smart city. Taiwan's Kaohsiung aims to become a global semiconductor R & D and manufacturing center.
