Turn off boot sound, Microsoft tests to add mute startup function to Xbox game console

Today, Microsoft Xbox released a version 2210.220919-2200 update for members of the preview experience, which adds a new feature in addition to fixing known problems. In this version, the user can turn on or off the mute startup function in Settings-General-Volume-Audio output-other options. Previously, since Microsoft's Xbox Series X | S game console does not have a regular 3.5mm headphone interface, players cannot use 3.5mm headphones to prevent the Xbox Series X | S game console from playing sound effects.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Eden Marie, head of Xbox projects, confirmed on September 20 that starting with the 2206 update released earlier this month, Xbox One CD-ROM games would no longer be forced to check the Internet.

On Sept. 7, Microsoft Xbox introduced noise suppression for Xbox Series X | S, which reduces some of the chat noise in Xbox Party voice chat, such as panting into a microphone, clicking on a handle, or playing music. This feature is available immediately after downloading the latest system update for Xbox.
