September 27, according to foreign media reports, electric truck manufacturer Nikola is recalling all 93 Nikola Tre electric trucks because improper installation of seat belt shoulder anchoring devices may reduce the protective effect of collision.

It is reported that the company said it will replace the seat belt fixture and regulator free of charge. The defect was found by an Nikola employee during a delivery inspection in July that Iveco, its cockpit maker, was responsible for the manufacturing defect.

Nikola was founded in 2014 and mainly produces heavy-duty commercial battery electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles. The first Nikola Tre electric pilot trucks were delivered on December 17 last year, and the vehicles will be used in the ports of Los Angeles and long Beach, announcing that they have gone from "PPT car building" to the sign that the vehicle is officially off the line.

Separately, the federal fraud case against Nikola founder Trevor Milton resumed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday. He is accused of fraud in establishing partnerships with large automakers, falsely claiming that there is no patented technology and misleading partners into signing the contract.

Tough market conditions and the adverse effects of the case sent Nikola shares down 24.02 per cent to close at $3.89 last week.
