Blade India signs orders for up to 200electric aircraft from Brazilian airline Eve
CTOnews.com, September 27 (Xinhua)-- Brazil's Eve holding company said Tuesday that Blade India has signed purchase orders for up to 200 vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) electric aircraft, enabling it to expand its urban air traffic ecosystem in Asian countries.
Blade India, a joint venture between Hunch Ventures and Blade Air Mobility, will also work with Eve, which is controlled by aircraft manufacturer Embraer SA, to carry out a three-month pilot project that uses helicopters to connect passengers, the company said in a statement.
CTOnews.com was informed that Brazilian industrial company Eve had previously said that eVTOL could meet a variety of basic applications in the market, such as humanitarian response and disaster relief. It also includes short-distance transportation for passengers on urban roads who seek to avoid traffic jams.
