Forbes: Tesla CEO Musk topped the list of American billionaires for the first time, Zuckerberg fell out of the top 10
In the early morning of September 28, Beijing time, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is now the richest man in the United States.
Musk ranked first with $251 billion, well ahead of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who came in second with $151 billion, according to a Forbes list of the 400th richest people in the United States.
Last year Bezos topped the list with $201 billion, while Musk came in second with $190.5 billion.
It is worth noting that one person in this year's ranking did not make the top 10-Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who fell to 11th place with a fortune of $57.7 billion. Hit by inflation and falling markets, the total net worth of this year's Forbes 400 rich list was $4 trillion, down 11% from a year earlier and $500 billion less than a year ago.
