CTOnews.com, Oct. 2 (Xinhua)-- Apple has appointed new leaders for some of its businesses, and now has new vice presidents for its maps, services and chip teams.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple adjusts its list of vice presidents every fall, usually based on its regular performance reviews of its employees this season. The position is two levels lower than a C-level executive and is one of the highest-level positions that can be reached by Apple's internal employees.

In addition to about 100 of its 160000 employees, Apple has now selected four more vice presidents in three areas of the company, according to Bloomberg's Power On newsletter.

Max Muller, who has worked at Apple for 20 years and has been on the Apple Maps team for a long time, is now vice president of overseeing the entire mapping business, which includes services such as looking up Find My and other businesses involving location detection and navigation.

Charlie Charlie Zhai and Fabian Klass have experience in Apple chips and are now deputy chief executives of the Silicon chip business, which is run by Johny Srouji.

Finally, Payam Mirrashidi has become vice president of engineering in the service department, reporting to Eddy Cue.
