According to CTOnews.com news on October 4, BYD announced today that it has signed a cooperation agreement with global car rental company SIXT to provide new energy car rental services for the European market and jointly promote the electric transformation of the car rental market.

According to the agreement, SIXT will purchase at least 100000 new energy vehicles from BYD in the next six years. A number of BYD new energy vehicles will serve SIXT customers, including the newly launched meta PLUS in Europe. Delivery of vehicles will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, and the first phase of the cooperation market includes Germany, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands.

Data show that SIXT is a car rental company with branches in more than 100 countries and more than 2100 business outlets, mainly for business, corporate and private users to provide a series of high-end car rental services.

CTOnews.com learned that BYD said it would help SIXT achieve its green goal of reaching 70 to 90 per cent of the electric fleet by 2030.
