CTOnews.com, 7 October, 21:10 Beijing time, the China Taiyuan Satellite launch Center successfully launched the test satellite S5 / S6 of the Beidou low orbit navigation enhancement system in micro-space, using the long March 11 sea-launched carrier rocket in the Yellow Sea and adopting the method of "one arrow and two stars." the satellite entered the scheduled orbit smoothly, and the launch mission was a complete success.

According to reports, the satellite is mainly used to monitor the service performance of the global satellite navigation system in real time and to carry out navigation enhancement and inter-satellite laser communication experiments. This mission is the 441st flight of the long March series of carrier rockets.

CTOnews.com learned that the Chang 11 rocket was developed by the first Institute of our Aviation, and can be launched on land and at sea. The launch is only 3 kilometers from the coast, which greatly reduces the navigation time at sea and shortens the mission execution cycle on the premise of ensuring safety and reliability.

This mission is the first nearshore launch of the long March 11 rocket. In the future, the number of sea launches of the long March 11 rocket will gradually exceed the number of land launches.
