CTOnews.com, Oct. 8, today, Strategy Analytics released a report saying that with the growth of investment in metacosmos, the number of dedicated metacosmos devices (VR and AR head display) will surge. By 2024, the market stock of meta-cosmic devices will double from the current 50 million.

CTOnews.com learned that Strategy Analytics said that reaching 100 million market stocks in 2024 would be an important milestone in this relatively new consumer electronics category, helping to drive further growth and investment.

The report points out that so far, the market is mainly VR head display devices, AR devices are mainly limited to the enterprise market. AR headsets are expected to drive future growth as more consumer-oriented devices are released. AR equipment shipments accounted for just over 1 per cent of metasonic devices in 2021 and will grow to 64 per cent by 2027.
