Pegatron, the 14th generation manufacturer of Apple iPhone, received about 28.992 billion yuan in September, down 13.5% from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com, Oct. 8, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily, financial data from iPhone contract manufacturer Pegatron show that in September 2022, Heshuo's revenue was 128.855 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 28.992 billion yuan), an increase of 11.1 percent from the previous month, but a decrease of 13.5 percent from the same period last year.

In addition, Pegatron's third-quarter revenue was 352.862 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 79.394 billion yuan), up 24.4 percent from a month earlier and 9.3 percent year-on-year. Pegatron's cumulative revenue in the first three quarters of this year reached 960.344 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 216.077 billion yuan), up 18.3 percent from a year earlier.

CTOnews.com learned that Pegatron pointed out that the increase in revenue in September compared with August was mainly due to better shipments of information and communications products than in August.

Taiwan media pointed out that as Pegatron's main contract manufacturing model iPhone 14 Plus has just been launched this year, it is speculated that the month-on-month increase in revenue in September is mainly due to continued shipments of the iPhone 13 series and shipments of PC at the end of the peak season. However, Pegatron's September revenue fell 13.5 per cent year-on-year because the iPhone 13 series went on sale in September last year, while iPhone 14 Plus only launched in October this year.
