It is reported that TSMC Q3 is expected to replace Samsung and Intel and become the global semiconductor leader for the first time.

At present, the semiconductor winter has hit South Korea's memory chip and foundry business. Samsung may give way to TSMC this quarter due to the loss of large foundry customers and the continued low prices of NAND and DRAM chips.
According to nocut news, tsmc will replace samsung in the third quarter of this year as the first global semiconductor sales company. TSMC's third-quarter sales were said to be 27 trillion won, compared with Samsung's estimate of 24-25 trillion won.
CTOnews.com reported that Samsung Electronics released its third-quarter earnings forecast on October 7, with operating profit of 10.8 trillion won, down 31.73% from the same period last year and 23.4% from the previous quarter.
IC Insights, a research and development agency, has previously given similar data. Samsung Semiconductor Q2 revenue of US $22.623 billion is the world's largest semiconductor factory, while TSMC revenue is only US $18.164 billion, just surpassing Intel's US $14.861 billion.
In September this year, TSMC consolidated revenue of NT $208.25 billion (about RMB 47.064 billion), down 4.5% month-on-month and up 36.4% year-on-year. Total revenue from January to September 2022 was NT$1,638.36 billion, up 42.6% year-on-year.
It is worth mentioning that TSMC ranked third in the world in 2021, with annual revenue of $56.84 billion, about 31% lower than Samsung's $82.019 billion.
