CTOnews.com, October 15 (Xinhua) Hyundai Mobis recently announced the successful development of in-vehicle 5G communication module technology, saying that the technology is based on 5G mobile communication technology and is seen as the key to promoting self-driving and vehicle networking large-capacity data processing and real-time connection technology.

According to reports, the 5G communication module developed by Mobis integrates communication chips, memory, radio frequency circuits and GPS, and will be used in remote information processing services for 5G interconnected vehicles in the future.

Among them, remote information processing technology refers to the use of mobile communication network to share vehicle information with external control centers, such as remote vehicle control, OTA updates, real-time traffic data sharing and emergency call services, to provide drivers with a safer, more convenient and more entertaining driving experience.

CTOnews.com learned that Mobis also plans to integrate the 5G communication module technology developed this time with the previously successfully developed V2X communication technology to provide an integrated solution for self-driving and vehicle networking. Mobis' 5G+V2X integrated solution can achieve functions such as sharing sensor information between vehicles, avoiding vehicle collisions, automatic deceleration in child protection areas, and automatic braking in emergency situations.
