Sealed original Apple iPhone 2007 models are at auction and are expected to sell for up to 216000 yuan

Update: "2007 unopened Apple original iPhone finally sold: the transaction price is about 260000 yuan."

CTOnews.com, Oct. 16 (Xinhua)-- A 2007 original iPhone phone sealed in the original package is being auctioned and is expected to sell for $30, 000 (about 216000 yuan) or more.

LCG Auctions is holding its fall 2022 premium auction until October 16. Among the lots, there is an original iPhone sealed in a box.

As of this afternoon, there were 16 bids, with the original bid of $2500 (about 18025 yuan). The current offer is $10446 (about 75316 yuan).

LCG lists potential values of $30000 or more, but it is not clear what factors their valuations are based on. Taking into account the trend of the auction, this goal is expected to be achieved and may be achieved in the last few hours of the auction, as there will be more bidders.

The box is sealed in the original plastic package. It is not damaged, nor has it been affixed with any packaging, store or shipping labels.

CTOnews.com learned that the bar code and regulatory information on the back of the box were clearly visible and had not faded. The model is A1203 and the order is MA712LL / A (8GB), so this is a 8GB storage version that sells for $599 when it is released.

The website describes the auction:

As one of the most important and common inventions in our lives, iPhone was first launched by Steve Jobs at MacWorld in San Francisco on January 9, 2007. Just over five months later, it went on sale on June 29 at a retail price of $499 / $599. The original iPhone included 4GB / 8GB storage space, an innovative touch screen, a 2-megapixel camera, and a web browser. The iconic box has a life-size iPhone image and 12 icons on the screen. It quickly became Apple's most successful product, changed the smartphone industry forever, and was named time magazine's best invention of the year in 2007. "
