The test was carried out using a DropBot robot to help determine the damage of the device after a single impact from a height of 6 feet.

When the back fell on the sidewalk, the camera shell of the iPhone 14 Plus was damaged and a cow's eye crack appeared on one side.

According to the Allstate protection plan, iPhone 14 Pro Max suffered "catastrophic damage". The back of the glass is completely broken and most of the glass falls off completely from the equipment. In addition, the camera shell was also seriously damaged.

When iPhone 14 Plus fell from the side onto a set of paved stairs, it suffered little damage-only a few abrasions on the corners.

However, the situation of iPhone 14 Pro Max is not so good. The backplane is cracked, the edges are scratched, the button is sunken, and the camera shell is damaged.

Tests show that iPhone 14 Pro Max is as vulnerable to damage as iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro.

The report also stresses that the aluminum shell of iPhone 14 Plus appears to be more resistant to damage than the stainless steel shell of iPhone 14 Pro Max.
