October 24 news, according to foreign media reports, South American "lithium triangle" countries-Argentina, Bolivia and Chile are considering a joint policy to determine the sales price of lithium.

It is reported that all three countries have huge lithium reserves and production potential. The total lithium reserves of the three countries account for 65% of the world's lithium reserves, and the total lithium production accounts for nearly 30% of the world's total output. The three countries are evaluating an initiative to agree on lithium ore pricing in the international production of lithium mines, coordinate production processes, and so on.

The OPEC Group, which is currently composed of major oil producers such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, affects crude oil prices by setting oil production levels, which may become a model for Argentina, Bolivia and Chile to establish similar models and mechanisms in the lithium market.

It is reported that negotiations between the three countries have been progressing smoothly, and further talks will be held from October 24 to 26 during the 39th session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
