Microsoft Outlook Web will soon support editor proofreading email
CTOnews.com October 24, after promising to bring two popular Outlook features to Android and iOS, Microsoft once again announced that another feature is coming out of the Outlook Web email client. Microsoft Outlook Web client will soon support editor proofreading to help users write with ease.
When the user writes an email on the Outlook Web client, the editor proofreading function checks for spelling and grammar errors. This is a feature already provided by Outlook on other major platforms. Although Microsoft does not explain how proofreading will work, it may work in the same way as other Outlook clients.
Currently, Outlook on macOS and Windows supports checking spelling and grammar errors, underlined with red wavy lines and double blue lines, respectively. Right-click the line and you can see the correction of errors that may occur in the user's writing. You can also include these suggestions in your writing, or ignore them altogether. Of all the possibilities, this is also expected to be the way it works on Outlook Web.
CTOnews.com learned that according to the roadmap page of Microsoft 365, the editor proofing function can be used in three languages at the same time, which can be selected from the editor settings. However, Microsoft has not yet said which languages will be available.
Microsoft is planning to introduce editor proofreading to Outlook Web in December.
