CTOnews.com, Oct. 30-Samsung has lagged behind other tech giants in supporting the latest emoji emoticons, but that has changed with the release of One UI 5. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series supports all Unicode 15 emoticons.

According to Emojipedia, all 31 new emoji emoticons of Emoji 15 are now available for the latest Samsung phones, including Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra. In addition, Samsung One UI 5 supports 107 of the 138 emoji suggestions launched last year.

Unicode 15 brings emoticons such as melted faces, heart-shaped hands, rickety faces and pink hearts, donkeys, moose, geese and jellyfish.

CTOnews.com learned that Emoji 15.0 recommended a total of 31 emoticons, down from 112 last year and 334 in 2020. In addition, this year is the lowest number of new emoticons recommended by Unicode in history.

"31 new Emoji emoticons are expected to be added to iOS and Android phones, including Wi-Fi symbols, trembling faces, etc."
