CTOnews.com, October 31 (Xinhua) Microsoft added some important new features to Outlook mobile client last month, and promised to add some more features by the end of this year. In early 2023, Microsoft also plans to add a new feature to its e-mail client to help users better concentrate on their work.

Microsoft is developing the Outlook focus time feature, which can schedule focus events directly from the Outlook calendar. This will help users work nonstop, as Teams and Outlook notifications will not pop up during that time. This is very similar to how the focus feature in Windows 11 works.

When the feature arrives, users will be able to schedule focus events directly from the Outlook calendar. This is very similar to setting event types in your calendar, such as "out of office", "busy", and so on. Although Microsoft does not show how users will set it, it is most likely that when you start creating new events from the Outlook calendar, focus time and the "free", "busy", "work elsewhere" and "out of office" options will be available.

Google Calendar and Microsoft's Viva Insights app allow users to schedule their priorities. Users can also set it up in Outlook with the help of the Insights Outlook plug-in, but this requires a subscription to Viva Insights. Scheduled focus events will be made available to each Outlook user free of charge.

CTOnews.com was informed that according to the Microsoft 365 roadmap page, focus time is expected to be available to all Outlook clients in January 2023.
