NetEase Games set up a new studio GPTRACK50 in Osaka, with Yuxing Kobayashi, the producer of "biochemical Evil" and "Ghost crying" as the director.

CTOnews.com November 1, NetEase announced the establishment of a new studio GPTRACK50, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, with the aim of "delivering original works from Japan to users around the world", focusing on consumer software business, producing original IP, and developing media portfolios for the world.

According to reports, Yuxing Kobayashi, who once worked in Capcom as the producer of famous series of games, such as "biochemical crisis", "Dinosaur crisis", "Ghost crying", "BASARA of the warring States" and "Creed of Dragons", will serve as the president of GPTRACK50. He left Capcom in March 2022 and joined NetEase Games.

President Kobayashi has been involved in the production of biochemical Evil live-action movies and CG animation, and as a producer has participated in the development of media combinations such as live-action film adaptation, animation, stage adaptation, comic adaptation and so on. Drawing on this experience, the studio's goal is to nurture IP and expand it around the world, such as serializing, visualizing, novelizing and cartooning popular works through sequels.
