Canalys:Q3 global cloud service spending slowed to the lowest growth rate in history, with Amazon, Microsoft and Google in the top three.

CTOnews.com, November 2, according to a report released today by Canalys, global spending on cloud infrastructure services reached $63.1 billion (about 459.368 billion yuan) in the third quarter of 2022, an increase of $13.8 billion (about 100.464 billion yuan), or 28 percent, year on year.

According to the report, the annual growth rate of spending on cloud services fell below 30% for the first time. In the third quarter of 2022, Amazon Cloud (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google remained the top three suppliers, accounting for 63 per cent of global cloud spending, a combined growth of 33 per cent.

Alex Smith, vice president of Canalys, said cloud vendors at the head of the company will face rising costs and slowing revenue growth, which could lead to more conservative plans for 2023. Given the rising energy costs, cloud manufacturers are expected to raise their prices in Europe by 30% in the future.

Specifically, Amazon Cloud Technology is the leading cloud service provider in the third quarter of 2022, accounting for 32% of total expenditure, with an annual growth rate of 27%, CTOnews.com learned.

In addition, Microsoft Azure grew 35% year-on-year in the quarter, ranking second with a 22% market share. Google cloud's growth accelerated again, achieving 48% growth, increasing its market share in the global cloud services market to 9%.
