CTOnews.com, Nov. 3, I believe most people know that the first Android phone is the HTC Dream, also known as the T-Mobile G1, which was launched a year later than the original iPhone, but the rendering that could have been the first Android phone was made five months before the original iPhone was released.

CTOnews.com learned that Android co-founder Rich Miner disclosed the details on Twitter and shared a rendering of the first Android phone.

The above picture shows that the black and neon phone looks a bit like the HTC Dream, with a horizontal slide design and a full-size physical keyboard, which is still full rainbow color, but HTC Dream did not fully adopt this design in the end.

The phone in the HTC Dream rendering has a point wheel for page navigation, and HTC Dream finally chose to use a trackball. In addition, the rendered phone has more buttons, including physical buttons for email and @ "symbols, and buttons such as answer, hang up, home page and back at the bottom of the phone. HTC Dream, by contrast, has only five buttons.

According to Minah, they were developing two phones, a BlackBerry-like device codenamed "Sooner" and a phone codenamed "Dream". After the launch of iPhone, the company abandoned the Sooner and focused on developing the Dream, later known as the HTC Dream.
