Midea's U-window air conditioners have won the first batch of Matter certification.

Recently, Midea's U-window air conditioners won the world's first Matter certification at the Matter 1.0 global conference organized by the Alliance for connecting Standards (Connectivity Standards Alliance / CSA). Midea is a member of the Council of the CSA Alliance and one of the contributors and participants to the standards of the Matter agreement, working with ecological partners such as Amazon, Google and Apple to promote the normative formulation and wide application of the Matter agreement and to create an open global intelligent ecology.

CTOnews.com has learned that Matter is the unified connection standard for the global smart home industry, which aims to change the future of connectivity, break down cross-brand and cross-ecological connection barriers, provide users with greater flexibility in collaborative operation of smart home devices, and provide more reliable and secure seamless and fast connections.

Midea's innovative U-window air conditioners were previously sold in North America, and as the first Matter certified products, Matter will be landed and integrated into MSmartHome applications, and an updated version will be available to consumers in 2023.
