Guo Mingyi: Gore suspended production of Apple AirPods Pro 2, probably due to production problems.
CTOnews.com November 9 news, Gale shares issued a risk warning notice yesterday, recently received a notice from a major customer abroad, suspended production of its intelligent acoustic machine products. At present, the cooperation with other product projects with the customer is still under normal development.
Guo Mingyi, an analyst, said that according to its latest investigation, Gale suspended production of Apple's AirPods Pro 2 headphones, and that the suspension was more likely to be due to production problems than demand problems.
In addition, Guo Mingyi also said that in order to fill the production gap, the first supplier Lixun Precision has expanded production and obtained all AirPods Pro 2 orders, becoming the exclusive assembly manufacturer of AirPods Pro 2. It is not clear when Gore will resume production of the AirPods Pro 2 and whether the impact of the incident will extend to Gore's next year's Apple orders or other Apple product orders.
Mr. Guo estimated shipments of the AirPods Pro 2 in the fourth quarter of this year at about 20 million units.
The new AirPods Pro was released at the end of September, and it remains to be seen whether the loss of a supplier will have any impact on supply into the holiday shopping season.
