On October 29 this year, Line 5 successfully passed the expert review of fully automatic operation and open cab. Starting from November 11, Suzhou Metro Line 5 will open the cab.

CTOnews.com learned that the work originally performed by the train driver is completely completed by the fully automatic operation system on Line 5, while the central control center monitors the vehicle equipment and operation in real time, which does not require staff intervention in the normal operation process, and in the event of an emergency, the duty personnel on the train and the dispatching staff of the control center will deal with them in a timely manner.

In the cab of Line 5, the operating platform of the train is locked and safety warning signs are posted to remind passengers to protect the safety of the equipment.

The train on Line 5 is also equipped with a passenger emergency alarm. When passengers need help, they can press the red emergency call button to contact the passenger dispatcher in the control center directly and get help.

During the first month of the opening of the cab of Route 5, two drivers will be arranged to guide passengers and maintain order in the cab during peak hours. At other times, one driver will inspect the compartment to ensure passenger order and passenger safety.
