Hyundai's latest figures show that XCIENT Fuel Cell has delivered a total of 47 vehicles to 23 Swiss companies since its launch in 2020.
Hyundai Motor said that the world's first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck XCIENT Fuel Cell has traveled more than 5 million kilometers in the two years since entering the Swiss market, becoming the world's first hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck model to achieve this milestone. In addition to the Swiss market, Hyundai Motor also supplies hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks XCIENT Fuel Cell to markets such as the United States and Germany.
CTOnews.com understands that XCIENT Fuel Cell is equipped with a 180kW hydrogen fuel cell system consisting of two 90kW hydrogen fuel cell stacks, with a maximum motor power of 350kW and a maximum torque output of 2,237 Nm.
According to reports, the model's seven large hydrogen storage tanks can store about 31kg of hydrogen fuel, while three high-voltage batteries make up a battery system with a total capacity of 72kWh to provide additional power sources. Its maximum range is about 400 kilometers and it takes as little as eight minutes to fill up hydrogen.
In addition, Hyundai Motor Group mentioned in its "Hydrogen Vision 2040" released in September 2021 that it will be the first automobile manufacturer in the world to carry hydrogen fuel cell system in all commercial models by 2028.
In the Chinese market, Hyundai Motor said that Hyundai Commercial Vehicles has also obtained hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicle production qualification in China and is actively exploring local production plans.
