Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen jiangtaojack for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, 11 / 11 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- Howie OmniVision released the OH02B image sensor, the first square 2-megapixel (1500x1500) CMOS image sensor that can be used in gastroenterology, respiratory, gynaecology, otolaryngology, urology, orthopaedics and surgery.

According to reports, the OH02B image sensor uses Howie's latest PureCel Plus-S wafer stacking technology. In addition, the product adopts OCH2B with lens module of CameraCubeChip packaging technology, with small size package of 2.5x2.5mm and high image quality, which is suitable for disposable endoscope design.

OCH2B uses Howie's proprietary AntLinx technology, which enables a 4-core thin cable transmission connection up to 4 meters from the endoscope camera to the image processing host, which is not susceptible to noise or electromagnetic interference and has extremely low electromagnetic conduction. AntLinx provides excellent video transmission quality and reduces interface conversion requirements, so it is more suitable for endoscope products with long-term transmission requirements.

CTOnews.com learned that the Howie Group has passed ISO13485 certification and medical products have passed EMC and EMI tests, helping to simplify the FDA approval process for medical device manufacturers. OCH2B also has biocompatibility and waterproof test reports and can be sterilized under high pressure without tuning or calibration.
