(update: rumors) Wechat Android 8.0.30 official version supports withdrawing text messages within 5 minutes

Update: Wechat told Sina Technology that "Wechat supports the withdrawal of messages within 5 minutes" is a rumor. At present, the time limit for withdrawal is still 2 minutes after users send a message. The new version of Wechat can be edited within 5 minutes after the message is withdrawn using the "re-Edit" function, rather than within 5 minutes.

CTOnews.com November 11 news, yesterday's Android version of Wechat App ushered in the 8.0.30 official version update, bringing a lot of new features, among which the more attractive new feature is that text messages can be withdrawn within five minutes, which is a little relaxed from the previous two minutes.

In previous versions, the user could recall and re-edit the message within 2 minutes after sending the message. In the latest version, the duration of withdrawal has been relaxed to 5 minutes, which means that users now have more time to view and modify the withdrawn content. It should be noted that Wechat currently only supports the withdrawal of text messages within 5 minutes, not all messages.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition to the five-minute withdrawal function, new features have been added to the Wechat update, such as the "online consultation" portal, Wechat keyboard plug-in, support for expanding the capacity of comments on moments, Wechat status support for custom filling, and video number live streaming support for rehearsals.
