SpaceX, a space company owned by Elon Musk, has bought at least $2.5 million worth of advertising packages from Twitter to promote Starlink satellite Internet services in Australia and Spain, Nov. 14.

According to current and former Twitter employees, when a company buys its advertising package, they usually spend at least $2.5 million and hang their brand on Twitter's main timeline all day.

In Australia and Spain, users see ads about star chains when they open the Twitter app the first three times a day. The ads were purchased last week and are scheduled to be launched first in Australia and then in Spain in the next few days.

Several current and former employees of SpaceX said the company does not usually buy large ads from Twitter. However, Musk just bought Twitter for $44 billion, and he is now the CEO of Twitter.

Star chain plans to use thousands of microsatellites to provide Internet access to paying users, who also need to buy terminals from SpaceX to access the Internet. SpaceX's goal of developing the star chain is to provide high-speed Internet for people in areas where wired or optical infrastructure services are poor or even have no network services at all.
