CTOnews.com Apple Fellow Phil Schiller has taken down his Twitter account, shutting it down Sunday for unknown reasons.

Phil schiller's Twitter account now shows up as "nonexistent" when users query the web for "pschiller."

CTOnews.com learned that Schiller has a sizable Twitter subscriber base of about 265,800, in addition to following more than 240 accounts. Schiller uses the account to promote Apple's various products and services, after all, he previously served as Apple's senior vice president of global marketing and is now an Apple Fellow.

Officials didn't explain why Schiller closed his account, but Twitter has undergone many changes in the weeks since Elon Musk took over, which may have contributed to its decision to close it. Musk's moves include mass layoffs and increasingly demanding staff to revive Twitter, while various changes have led many users to consider other services.
