There is a serious problem with the Windows version of iCloud: the synchronization video cannot be played and photos of strangers will be displayed.

CTOnews.com, Nov. 22, according to feedback from netizens on the community and social platforms, there are some serious problems with iCloud for the Windows platform, including damaged videos and the display of photos of strangers.

Many users have reported that when using iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models, videos recorded with iPhone cannot be played on the iCloud on Windows after synchronization, resulting in a black screen with flashing white lines, resulting in a failure to watch normally.

Synchronous video shows the effect of white line and black screen. CTOnews.com learned that what is more worrying is that MacRumors forum netizen sleeping_ghost explained:

Video recorded by iPhone 14 pro max does not display properly on iCloud for Windows, resulting in a black screen with scan lines. In a few cases, stills from unknown sources may be inserted into the video after synchronization, possibly from someone else's iCloud account. I have seen family photos, football matches and other random photos of other people I have never seen in my life. Obviously, this is very worrying, and now I don't think iCloud is a very secure service anymore.

It is not clear whether the photos are from images of other iCloud users, but it is highly likely. User feedback in the post saw random photos of families, children, football matches and other similar content.

Deleting the iCloud for Windows app showing photos of football matches from strangers doesn't seem to solve the problem, because it may be a server-side problem. Several people have reported the problem to Apple, and Apple should have begun to investigate it.
