Microsoft Edge browser extends Follow this creator function: it now supports following some news sites.

CTOnews.com, November 22 (Xinhua) Microsoft added a "Follow this creator" feature to its Edge browser in January last year, allowing users to follow their favorite creators through a new button in the address bar. However, at this stage, the function of the creator is limited to video sites such as YouTube.

However, in recent version changes, Microsoft has further expanded the "Follow this creator" feature to allow users to follow some news sites, including The Verge. In the latest version of Edge Canary, the "Follow this creator" button appears after users visit some news sites. However, this feature is not available to all Edge Canary users, but Microsoft will gradually release it.

CTOnews.com learned that the so-called "Follow this creator" function is that when an Edge browser user plays a YouTube video, a "Follow this creator" button appears on the left side of the URL address bar. Even if your YouTube account does not follow the channel, users can follow the channel through this button. This means that you can follow the channel even if you are not a subscriber to the channel.
