Microsoft Win11 Preview is testing new features: inserting website recommendations into the start menu

CTOnews.com, November 22, Microsoft removed dynamic tiles from Win11 and adjusted the overall layout, resulting in a more modern start menu experience. However, there is a controversial content in the recently released preview version of Win11-inserting site recommendations into the start menu.

CTOnews.com learned that when you click on the start menu, Win11 will now display the recommended site. This is Microsoft's attempt to provide humane recommendations for Win11, but not everyone agrees with Microsoft's advertising behavior. As a result, Microsoft is providing users with additional control over whether to insert these site recommendations into the start menu.

Microsoft said

We have been trying to add more valuable content to the recommended section of the start menu, and are happy to introduce a new type of content: the website.

In the first stage, we will recommend common websites based on your region or browsing history to help you easily find the sites you care about. You can also control it by right-clicking the site and choosing to delete the site individually or stop displaying all recommended sites altogether.
