The new interface incorporates third-generation Material You design elements, showing a variety of shapes on the back of your name.

CTOnews.com learned that the text on the interface of the new Nearby Share version was further enlarged and centered. Google has also enlarged the sharing previews and now puts them in a card with icons to better notice what is being shared.

CTOnews.com learned that Nearby Share is a feature of Android and Chrome OS, and when enabled, users can transmit data to nearby user devices via Bluetooth, WebRTC and Wi-Fi, and can quickly exchange pictures, videos, text, contact information, YouTube videos and other data with nearby users. The feature was officially released on August 4, 2020.
