BYD issued a price adjustment notice today: BYD will adjust the official guidance prices of dynasty, ocean and momentum-related new energy models, ranging from 2000 yuan to 6000 yuan, and the price adjustment notice for specific models will be issued separately. As for the reasons for the price increase, BYD said: the subsidy policy for the purchase of new energy vehicles will end on December 31, 2022. After that, the state of vehicles licensed will no longer give subsidies (the existing subsidy: 4800 yuan per plug-in hybrid vehicle, 12600 yuan per pure electric vehicle). At the same time, the prices of major raw materials for batteries have risen sharply since the second half of the year.

According to a reporter from the Economic observation Network, in addition to BYD, which has already announced a price increase, other new energy car companies, such as Cyrus, or their dealers, will soon withdraw the new energy subsidy as a means of terminal promotion, suggesting that prices are about to rise.

CTOnews.com learned that, however, some car companies have recently announced price cuts. Last month, Tesla announced price cuts for all Model 3 models and Model Y series, with a price reduction of 1.4-37000 yuan. On November 8, Tesla announced a subsidy scheme for time-limited cash car insurance, reducing the price by 4000 yuan to 8000 yuan in disguise. After Tesla cut prices, Ford Electric Horse and Mercedes-Benz announced price cuts one after another.
