Samsung Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong has been pardoned and all rights have been restored.

CTOnews.com8 March 12 news, according to Yonhap news agency, the South Korean government announced today the "Restoration Day" amnesty list, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman, Samsung boss Lee Jae-yong was granted amnesty and reinstatement.

After the amnesty, Lee Jae-yong has the right to succeed his late father as head of Samsung and to deal with the current challenges facing the company.

CTOnews.com learned that Mr Lee was convicted of bribery and embezzlement in January 2021 and sentenced to 30 months in prison. But he was paroled in August last year after serving 18 months in prison, and Mr Lee was restricted to work for five years after his parole. But now, after the amnesty, Mr Lee has restored all his rights.

South Korean President Yoon Sik-Yue said in an interview that the most important thing about this amnesty is to "focus on people's livelihood and economic recovery."
