According to the summary, the application provides a method and a device for displaying on-screen comment based on a cartoon picture. The method includes: determining the on-screen comment file corresponding to the target cartoon picture and the target cartoon picture; obtaining the mask information corresponding to the target cartoon picture; drawing the on-screen comment file in the target cartoon picture based on the mask information.

The method provided in the application provides a mask on-screen comment function for the comic picture by identifying the mask information in the cartoon picture, which not only provides the on-screen comment function for the user, but also makes the on-screen comment not block the key information of the comic book, thus improving the viewing experience of the user.
