Samsung launched its latest Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 phones on Wednesday, which will be available in selected countries around the world starting Aug. 26.
Samsung's Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3, launched in August 2021, will ship 7.1 million units by 2021, with Z Flip 3 leading the way with 4.6 million units shipped, according to market tracker Omdia.
Omdia's data shows strong growth in folding-screen phone shipments worldwide, reaching 9 million units, up 309% from 2020. Samsung's Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 combined accounted for 2.6% of Samsung's total smartphone shipments of 271.5 million units in 2021.
