Google Pixel 6a can unlock the screen refresh rate to 90Hz through MOD

Twitter user TheLunarixus has created a MOD that can unlock the 90Hz mode of Pixel 6a phones, and they are developing a custom ROM that allows any Pixel 6a user to easily unlock the increased refresh rate.

Tests have found that Pixel 6a can indeed use this MOD to unlock 90Hz mode. It is not clear whether the Pixel 6a display panel actually supports 90Hz or whether it overclocks to get a faster refresh rate.

CTOnews.com learned that to unlock 90Hz mode on Pixel 6a, the user needs to enable debug mode and OEM unlock in the settings, then load the boot loader, manually refresh the Android 13 beta, disable the part, and check the refresh modified vendor_boot image.

It should be noted that some users found that the phone had a green screen problem after applying this MOD. Developer Kuba Wojciechowski warned that Samsung may not rate the display of the Pixel 6a as 90Hz, which is likely to be overclocking.
