Microsoft Win11/10 Edge browser "double click to close tab" function officially launched

CTOnews.com August 15 news, Microsoft Edge browsing Organ blog announced that the Edge browser "double click close tab" function has been officially launched, and users can enable it in the "Settings" > "accessibility" > "use double click to close browser tab" switch.

CTOnews.com learned that the feature, which was quietly introduced in Microsoft's Edge browser Canary in June, is one of the features that users have been asking for for more than 113 weeks.

It is worth mentioning that currently, Edge browser users can use the middle mouse button (scroll wheel click) or Ctrl + W shortcut keys to close the tab, but some users think double-click is a more convenient choice.

The latest version of Microsoft Edge browser stable Channel is 104.0.1293.54. The most significant new feature in this release is enhanced Security Mode. This feature, formerly known as Super Duper Secure mode, has two options, "balanced" and "strict". However, Microsoft has now added a new "basic" option and recommended it instead.
