August 15 news, last Friday Ningde Times announced that the ninth meeting of the third board of directors of the company examined and passed the "motion on investment in the construction of a new energy battery industry base in the Hungarian era", which will invest no more than 7.34 billion euros to build a 100GWh power battery system production line in Debrecen, Hungary.

According to the plan of the Ningde era, the total construction cycle of their production base in Debrecen, Hungary is expected to be no more than 64 months, and the construction of the first plant will begin within this year after obtaining the relevant approval.

Judging from the reports of foreign media and the information on the official website of Ningde Times, the production base planned to be built in Debrecen, Hungary, will be the second production base in Europe in the Ningde era. After completion, they will have two major production bases in Europe.

The production sites currently listed on the Ningde Times website include the Erford production base in Thuringia, Germany, a project that combines R & D, testing and production, which was identified in July 2018 and was initially expected to invest 240 million euros.

In June of the following year, when the Erford production and R & D base project was determined, Ningde Times decided to increase investment, and the total project investment increased to no more than 1.8 billion euros, in order to further deepen the global strategic industrial layout and enhance the production capacity and R & D capacity of European production and R & D base projects.

According to a notice issued by Ningde Times in June 2019, the Erford production and R & D base project will build a lithium-ion power battery production base and a lithium battery R & D and test center, with a construction period of no more than 60 months. finally, based on the actual construction situation, covering an area of about 70 hectares, and finally based on the actual land area.

According to the planned construction cycle, the production and R & D base of Erford in the Ningde era will be completed in 2024, and the production base in Debrecen, Hungary, will be completed in the first half of 2028.
