Douyin Security said that false information on the platform mainly includes false professional knowledge and social news, and the reasons are complicated, including fabricating lies, imitating others to get hot, misinformation, subjective "conjecture" and posing interpretation being mistaken for true, and so on.

In order to comprehensively control false information, Douyin through the establishment of early warning, analysis, verification, marking, refuting rumors, intercepting and prompting seven steps, and online traceability, marking, jump and other functions.

Specifically, for false news, Douyin analyzes the creator and content attributes through user feedback and early warning signals provided by content analysis, and combines multi-platform information to trace the source and verify the authenticity. Once it is proved to be false information, then quickly dispel the rumor and intercept its further spread. For the content that is temporarily unverifiable and highly doubtful, the online prompt text reminds the user.

At the same time, Douyin has launched the "marking" function, which provides the creators of the interpretation video with marking ability to take the initiative to explain that the video belongs to "deduction" to avoid misunderstandings; and for hot people in major hot events and props that are easy to cause false people, are online to remind the function to prevent it from being counterfeited or abused.
