Microsoft Office 365th Century Internet Edition will completely disable TLS 1.0 Universe 1.1 from June 30 next year.

CTOnews.com November 23, Office 365, operated by Century Interconnect, will begin disabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1 for all services starting June 30, 2023. Microsoft will enforce Transport layer Security (TLS) 1.2 for all Office 365 services to provide better encryption and ensure that the service is more secure by default. Microsoft has banned TLS 1.0 / 1.1 in the global market outside China. In China, Microsoft banned TLS 1.0 + 1.1 for OneDrive and SharePoint in 2021, and will do the same for other Office 365services operated by Century Interconnection from June 30, 2023.

CTOnews.com has been informed that after June 30, 2023, all clients using the TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols will not be able to connect to the Office 365 service operated by Century Interconnection, and customers and their partners can only use TLS 1.2 to communicate with the Office 365 service.

Customers should ensure that TLS 1.2 is supported; update or replace clients and servers that rely on TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols to connect to Office 365 as soon as possible.

If you encounter problems using SMTP Auth to send mail on legacy TLS clients or devices, you can try to configure the shipping server address as the endpoint smtp-legacy.partner.outlook.cn, and the administrator needs to run the PowerShell command to enable the following settings:
