Wechat platform further standardizes the content of Mini Program "mini dramas"

Wechat platform said that the development of new online audio-visual formats such as short dramas has provided users with multicultural content, but some operators have used illegal means to win traffic, leading to the breeding of bad content.

Recently, the Wechat platform found that some operators posted vulgar microdrama content in Mini Program and illegally spread bad network audio-visual programs, which seriously affected the user experience and damaged the health and ecology of the platform. The platform will further standardize Mini Program's "microdrama" content and continuously manage the illegal content, including but not limited to:

● promotes bad value orientation, showing off wealth and worshiping money, exaggerating the antagonism between rich and poor, advocating violence and so on.

● catches the eye by playing "edge ball", posting obscure sexual behavior and provocative content

● plot is false and grandiose, the theme is vulgar and curious, and the content of the play is completely out of touch with reality.

CTOnews.com learned that for Mini Program involved in the above violations, the Wechat platform has provided targeted reminders to operators in the form of internal letters, leading to a reduction in the output of illegal content. If repeated reminders are not rectified, the platform will carry out step-by-step disposal of the relevant Mini Program according to the degree of violation, including capacity blocking, removal, and so on.
