AT&T updates 5G overlay information in its online overlay map

Recently, according to foreign media reports, AT&T has updated its online coverage map, which contains information about if 5G services. AT&T hopes to use C-band and 3.45GHz spectrum to cover about 100 million people through the if 5G network by the end of this year.

▲ AT&T 's online coverage map now shows the 5G coverage of the band, called "5G +" AT&T has labeled the if network as "5G +", and the company has deployed high-frequency, millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum in stadiums, airports and other locations, which it calls "5G + sites". Like Verizon, AT&T uses the regular "5G" label for its low-frequency 5G network.

AT&T lags behind Verizon and T-Mobile in deploying the medium frequency spectrum for 5G. Verizon hopes to cover about 175 million people with its C-band if 5G network by the end of this year, while T-Mobile expects to cover about 260 million people with its own 2.5GHz if 5G network.
