Russia launches Soyuz-2.1b rocket carrying Cosmos-2564 satellite

CTOnews.com, November 29 (Xinhua) the Russian Space Army launched a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket carrying a Russian Defense Ministry spacecraft from the Plesetsk space launch site on November 28 local time, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday. The serial number of the satellite is Cosmos-2564.

CTOnews.com learned that the last time Russia used Soyuz-2.1b to launch such a satellite from the Plesetsk space launch site was November 2.

On October 22, Russia also launched Skif-D and three Gonets-M satellites, the first satellite of the Sphere Orbital Group, from the Soyuz 2.1b rocket in Plesetsk. This is the first launch from this space launch site in 2022, and it is also the first launch mission of Soyuz-2.1b using new fuel.
